I never wonder why any _particular_ country or people allow these creatures.
I keep wondering why you all think you're different types of people, or that where you were born matters, and why the human race as a whole has not noticed that it is a single species that should get rid of threats like that to their species wherever they appear.
Let's hope we are the ones.

@YouInMyEye Fix it? If you can breed dogs with bad hips or a resistance to parvivirus, and fish with buggy eyes, you can adjust your makeup. Humans are extremely phenotypically and epigenitally plastic. Highly adaptive.
Humans brains are not hard-wired to most of the stupid and evil that's trying to parasitize or kill them. It's not like you'd even need to find some kind of magic not-an-asshole gene.
This madness is not human peak evolution, it's just a fever.
