Meaning of “trump” in Norwegian:
Etymology: most likely from “trample”

1) a heavy, big guy
2) grumpy, stubborn man or boy; pig head
3) rifle butt/stock

There's a saying in Norwegian:
“Namnet skjemmer ingen”, sa ho Tjuve-Kari.
“The name is no shame”, said Kari the Thief.

@Resister_Grandma LOL, how fitting! In Scotland, a "trump" is a fart!

@YouInMyEye @Resister_Grandma Oh yes, they hate Trump here! And not afraid to say so! Yes, that word is, unfortunately, used more than I'd like to see/ hear it, for sure! It's one I can't bring myself to say under any circumstances. But that pic does show how Scotland feels about him! Another word they use for him is "bawbag"... work it out... 😜
