He brings seeds to trade. πŸ˜†

@YouInMyEye Squirrels are so smart. I had a squirrel visit me regularly for peanuts when I was a kid. He'd knock on my bedroom window. I called him Charlie.

That's so sweet! They really are smart, and surprisingly full of personality.

This is Scratch. He's been visiting regularly for almost 4 years, and lets me pet him when he's not busy eating. 😊 🐿️

@p3R1n01D @YouInMyEye 😊 If he let you pet him, you must be a very kind, gentle person - Squirrels can sense that. They are exactly judges of character.

@CauseEffects @YouInMyEye
Thank you! 😊 I like to think they are. πŸ˜‰ Yeah, I can tell they sense that in me. I always talk to them in a quiet, friendly voice, and avoid jerky movements. I've always won dogs and other critters over quickly, too. 😊

Scratch not only lets me pet him, but last year started climbing right up my leg, or even between them! πŸ˜‚

What an honor to get to befriend a squirrel ❀️ you are amazing and it must feel wonderful when scratch comes to visit!😊

@Esther @CauseEffects @YouInMyEye
Aww, thanks! 😊 It really is an honor, such trust! And friendship, too. There are times Scratch lingers just a little longer after taking a peanut from me, I can tell he likes the interaction. ❀️ 🐿️

That is such an awesome gift you give each other! Warms my heart through and through ❀️
