The Biden administration on Thursday proposed a rule intended to require people selling firearms at gun shows and on the internet to conduct background checks on potential buyers, in an effort to curb the so-called gun show loophole.

I'm a bit cynical. It's about to be another circus election year, and so of course this is a perfect time to promise things that we know won't be delivered right now. Looks good, no effort required.

Once we get Republicans out of power, we have to lean on Democrats to keep these promises. We need to replace corrupt ones with progressive ones that are not corrupt.
