@YouInMyEye Probably doesn't matter, but I am wondering if fees should be included here. I guess all of the items on the list are payments in exchange for services, but with taxes one doesn't select which services are provided - elected representatives do. Also, taxes pay for a service even if one never uses it.

Fees are paid in exchange for a specific service, such as parking fees for time in a parking space.

IDK what the criteria is for calling one "tax" and the other "fee" eg you don't pay fee for all street/gov building parkings so what extra service "fee" are they charging you for?
