@sfleetucker
A bit problematic, that.
Weather Underground
SDS
Unibomber
When the Left goes violent they seem to prefer bombs.
@sfleetucker
Those are limited to my lifetime and my personal memory so I figure that for me it is perfectly fair for the sake of comparison. LOL
As for the Unibomber, I don't recall him or his writings described as right-wing.
This stuff has been brought to mind because I was thinking about Kent State and the mindspace-environment that would cause a young guardsman to pull the trigger.
If you go back farther, it was often Southern Democrats behind the political violence in the South 1865 -
@sfleetucker
So pointing fingers may not be productive with this subject.
@Xponent_Rob point taken.
@Xponent_Rob Yeah, and those same people all become republicans in the 80s. I’m also not sure I’d describe the Dixiecrats as “liberal” when it comes to equality and basic human rights.
@sfleetucker
Hey!
We agree on the history!
@Xponent_Rob Fair, though I’m not sure the Unibomber qualifies. the other two were in the 60s, but definitely leftist.
