@Tee_Lynn Agreed. Now is maybe not the best time to chime in on certain discussions. Nerves are raw. Use the tools. Preserve relationships. @WordsmithFL @elbutterfield @th3j35t3r

If someone crosses a line, I tell them so and ask them to correct the problem. Most do. A few feel the need to double down. That's when I mute or block them. Block is usually reserved for those who "I double-dog dare you" thinking I won't do it. 😊

@WordsmithFL It hurts to watch it sometimes. I understand most people become very passionate about things, but it doesn't mean their right or wrong. I watch, mute when necessary, block only when it's called for. The art of conversing within the social contract has been slipping away from us. @Tee_Lynn

@Tacitus_Kilgore I've been online since the late 1980s with Usenet. I ran a science fiction forum on the long-defunct GEnie network circa 1990. I've been at this game long before it was called social media. People sometimes forget the "social" part. When someone crosses a line, I give the opportunity to do the right thing. Most do. Some want to pick a fight. That's when I show them the exit. Life is too short to play games with a bunch of glowing phosphors on a computer screen.
