#CoSoWriters Idle question for any MS Word users out there ... I'm on Word 2010 because I see no reason to pay MS for an upgrade. Anyway, under References / Style are listed many style options, e.g. Chicago 15th Edition. CMoS just released the 18th Edition. Does anyone know if MS releases updates for download so I could use a more recent edition? I'm searching online but haven't found anything yet. Thanks in advance.
@kismatt Thank you. I know how to do it, I was just trying to figure out if there was a download anywhere for a more current style. From what I've been able to find, MS apparently has abandoned upgrading this feature. Individuals recommend doing it all manually.
@WordsmithFL You might check out Zotero. It has a plugin for _some_ variants of MS Word 2010.

Our son in college uses it to format his papers according to a given style. It looks like they support through CMoS 17th ed.
@GregLahann Thank you. I also found a product called PerfectIt. It's a $99/year subscription.
@WordsmithFL What about this article? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/updating-citations-to-chicago-manual-of-style/d8c59426-415e-4bb2-a74c-7a2c77b83506
It's how to do it, not necessarily how to GET the CMoS.
