I know this made a big fuss but, as someone who once served in law enforcement, don't give FOP more notoriety than they deserve. They're not a union; they're an advocacy group. 80% of US police unions are independent and have no affiliation with a larger group. Plenty of police unions in the past have endorsed Democratic candidates.

@WordsmithFL The Oakland county MI sheriff will no doubt endorse trump. He says insane shit like, 'illegals in gangs from S of the border are breaking into houses in OC' and when you ask him to produce a criminal he's caught proving that's true he has none. But MAGAts believe him.
@WordsmithFL My husband was a career police officer, and at one time an FOP official. He said today that the head of our state FOP has been getting tons of complaints and several people have withdrawn their memberships because the leaders of the FOP decided to endorse 
They are pissed about Jan. 6 and endorsing a felon.
Thank you for clarifying that the Fraternal Order of Police is an ADVOCACY GROUP not a union.

According to this article, over 60 law enforcement officials already have endorsed #HarrisWalz2024. More will be coming as we get into the final weeks of the campaign.
