#NASA will hold a press conference today no earlier than 1 PM EDT / 10 AM PDT to announce their decision about how to proceed with the #Boeing #Starliner #CFT. It will stream live at the link.
The time is tentative, as a final review meeting is underway right now and could run late.
Among the many dumb things about "Gravity" ... and there are a lot ...
Why is there a Shenzhou at Tiangong? Spacecraft are only at a station to take crew to and from. There are no spares.
So where did the Chinese crew go?!
Not to mention that Tiangong-1 was at an entirely different orbit and altitude than ISS.
China licensed Soyuz from the Russians in the late 1990s, then modified it to their own needs, so no way Stone could have flown it.
And on and on and on ... 🤬
@Kinnison A certain retired female astronaut and I often worked together on presentations at #KSCVC. We had a mutual contempt for "Gravity." Mention the movie, and we were like the Three Stooges when someone mentioned Niagara Falls. We'd cast a glance and smile, because we knew we were about to go on a ten-minute rant about the movie.
To this day, we'll still text each other, "And another thing ..." 🤬
@Kinnison "Armageddon" was just plain dumb. I didn't bother to watch it in a movie theater. I did go see "Deep Impact."
@WordsmithFL
I spent more time trying to find mistakes then actually enjoying the movie. Trying to think which is worse. Gravity or Armageddon, but that is like trying to compare two unrecognizable pieces of rotten fruit. no one wins trying
