Generally overlooked in the #NeverBiden saga is that the deadline to depose him isn't the beginning of the Dem convention on August 19.
It's August 7, because the Dems have to submit a nominee to the #Ohio secretary of state by then. The DNC will hold a virtual roll call before August 7 to nominate #Biden.
The "Never Biden" people would have to come up with another candidate suitable to the delegates before the virtual roll call.
@WordsmithFL I don’t think anyone else polls any better and Biden/Harris are already nominees and on ballots. Dems can beat Trump by getting together and campaigning on issues. We have the issues in our side.
@TemporaryTraveler That's what frustrates me. Instead of talking about our advantages with the issues, Dems have formed a circular firing squad at the worse possible time.
We should be talking about Roe, Project 2025, the GOP choosing a felon. Instead, the media is talking about how the Dems are a bunch of buffoons.
Putin and #Trump must be laughing their butts off at us.
@WordsmithFL Here is another reason I think political parties are slimey.
You think you're donating money to a candidate, but that money ends up used for different candidate's campaigns, and is used as leverage against other members of the party that "won't play ball".
The parties are giant donation money engines, and that money gets used to manipulate people not empower them as a collective.
@WordsmithFL This has been among my concerns.
#Politics
I've seen media reports that #NeverBiden people are now withholding money from down-ballot Dem candidates (House and Senate) in a further attempt to force #Biden to drop out.
"Do as I say, or I'll shoot myself in the foot!"
But no one seems to think about the pro-Biden people pulling *their* money if Biden is deposed. I'd be seriously pissed if the "wealthy elite" depose my candidate, chosen by millions of voters. I might withhold my money for their candidate. Nyah.
