Dunno, I would support the idea of leaving office early. Leaving in 2026 will definitely be portrayed as gaming the control of the WH, giving a boost to GOP runs at other offices.
A pledge before the election will just create more calls to just drop out.
At best, just do it but don't broadcast the possibility.
