On January 27, 2017, #KSCVC dedicated a new exhibit honoring the crew of Apollo 1. It's at the Apollo Saturn V Center; you have to take the tour bus to get there. Among the exhibits are the actual hatch doors involved in the fire.
This #CBSNews special report about the Apollo 1 fire was broadcast at 11 PM EST 57 years ago tonight.
The fire was at 6:31 PM EST, about 20 minutes from now. As I post, there's a memorial ceremony under way at the Cape's Launch Complex 34, where the fire happened.
