The latest EURO ensembles for what I'll hashtag as #Invest93 until it qualifies for a name. A little bit more bendy towards the middle of the peninsula.
#Invest93 is now Tropical Depression 10 (#TD10). At best, the models show a Category 1 hurricane. More likely, it's a moderate tropical storm. The #SpaceCoast should feel a modest impact; the 10-day forecast predicts 20 MPH winds and some thunderstorms.
Meet Tropical Storm #Idalia. The #SpaceCoast is almost in the cone now as the storm track has shifted east.
One last look at #Idalia before bedtime ... Charts courtesy @tropicalupdates on Twitter, AKA Mike's Weather Page on Facebook, also at SpaghettiModels.com.
The #SpaceCoast will be fine unless the storm track shifts significantly east. Right now our wind forecast for Wednesday is about 24 MPH, but it's been going up all day, suggesting the cone is slowly drifting east. We're forecast for <1" of rain.
Storm surge is a big concern for Tampa Bay and points north.
#Idalia now forecast to reach Cat 3 on approach to Tallahassee early Wednesday morning, probably Cat 2 at landfall.
Impacts along the Gulf Coast from Tampa north ... #SpaceCoast will see winds on Wednesday around 25 MPH but very little rainfall from this event.

The latest from NWS Melbourne ... #SpaceCoast will see minimal impact but Orlando west should stay frosty for outer bands.

A bit late to the party, but #SpaceCoast finally made it to tropical storm watch, yay!
#Weather #Hurricane #Florida
The morning forecasts for what's now called Tropical Depression 10L (#TD10L). Intensifying, still aiming for the armpit of Florida.
The ten-day forecast for us in Merritt Island on the #SpaceCoast has winds up to 22 MPH now, 60% chance of thunderstorms, so this shouldn't impact us unless the cone shifts.
