@Myana I was in college. It took me about a week to see it. I'd heard a buzz on campus but had other priorities. My friends, who had already seen it, urged me to go with them to see it again. We were at the end of the line and wound up in the front row.

The star destroyer went over our heads, then Vader walked into the corridor. Many of the patrons began throwing popcorn and soda at the screen. I thought, "What did this guy do?!" He looked to me like a cop making a traffic stop. 🤔

@WordsmithFL I remember the feeling of shock when the star destroyer passed overhead. Special effects were so remedial back then! It blew me away.

I actually got dizzy when Luke's X-wing dropped into the 'canyon' on the Death Star. That seems so strange now, with the effects we have today.
