My day was such a disaster. An entire semester building toward certification exams, and not a single one worked.

I turn into a pretzel convincing kids to believe they can do it, explaining what an industry cert could mean for a teenager. They BELIEVE me and work their hearts out. And the exams crash.

Not at the rich schools, just mine. Wealthy schools in my district have students take certs with 27” monitors. My kids have 14” laptops. And it still doesn’t work. 🤬

If there are any users out there, imagine trying to even use it on a laptop screen. Now imagine a third of your screen is eaten up by exam questions. It’s nuts.

@LaurelGreen I do it. It’s cramped, but I’ve found:
- the ~ key is my best friend
- spaces (Apple’s multiple desktops) are great for everything else (like lesson pages, exam questions, etc)

@LaurelGreen Okay. The ~ is Premiere. There are multiple desktops in Windows (can’t remember what MS calls them), the trick would be to master the gesture/keystroke to work them.

On Mac, I can flip between spaces with a 3 finger swipe on the trackpad. Brilliant. Like multiple monitors without the extra hardware.

@Weezimp thank you! I’ll look into
that on windows. But the certification exams block a lot of functionality, to prevent cheating. Still, worth a look. I also have kids trying to pass Unity certs, also tanking.

@LaurelGreen Yeah, I remember exam prison machines. Good luck getting them to play nice.

Never worked with Unity, but I’ve considered checking it out. I’ve used plenty of apps built using it.
