Feb 23rd, 2023: Putin’s fascist accuses of plans to attack in the so-called Transnistria province (which is in fact under Russia’s control, who call it an “independent republic”), much like they accused Ukraine of plans to attack Russia last year.

The Government of Moldova immediately rebuked the statement from Russia, and called the public to calm and to not fall for information sources with low or zero credibility.

Note: the Transnistria region of is a thin strip of land along the left bank of the river Niester. In 1992, soon after the dissolution of USSR, invaded this area under the pretense of “protecting Russian speakers from Moldavian Nazis”, much like they did the Ukrainian Donbas years later. A quasi-state was created.

Those troops are still stationed there, sitting on a huge stockpile of weapons and ammo. Moldova has been calling for them to leave for over 25 years to no effect.

fell victim to a similar tactic by in the early 90’s: under the pretense of “protecting Russian-speakers from Georgian Nazis” Russia stole a chunk of Georgian land and created a quasi-state named Osetia.

and have both lost lands because of similar plots by Russia.

That is why I have nothing but contempt and disgust towards Western useful idiots who are happily pedaling Russia’s “anti-nazi rhetoric”. STFU, dumbasses, you don’t know ANYTHING.

Correction: I just noticed that I’d named the Georgian stolen region wrong. The correct name is Abkhazia.
Ossetia is a region in Chechnya, whom Russia bombed mercilessly to end separatist rebellions in 1994 and 1999.
Here’s a picture of Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, following Russia’s assault:
