This city of 600 000 is suffocating under an excess of cars. The traffic jams are indescribable and seem to have no relation to the time of day. This is because there are too few drivable streets. Usually you get 1 or 2 options to reach the neighbouring part of the city, while all the side streets lead into dead ends or curl up back onto themselves in a bizarre wormlike shape. This forces the traffic into using the same route with everyone else, adding to an already swollen bottleneck.
