Exactly. It’s amazing how Christo-fascist nationalists have been able to co-opt, spin and corrupt common well-meaning terms and symbols like ‘woke’, ‘anti-fascism’, ‘black lives matter’, ‘Christian’, ‘patriot’, taking a knee, the US flag, Aloha print shirts, anything resembling a rainbow… I was even attacked on the bird app for having ‘human rights’ in my profile.

Which is exceedingly ironic given the individuals/prophets around whom most institutionalized religions are centered taught the exact opposite of totalitarianism. …Yet another sad example of extremists corrupting well-meaning concepts, ideas and terms.

So true!… IMO it’s that nefarious tendency of extremists to lose the plot (and by plot I mean basic message of “be cool! love others and yourself! no need to judge others who aren’t hurting you or anyone else!…”) and corrupt spiritual messages so they can control the masses. If there is a God, I don’t think she cares what we call her, as long as we’re treating ourselves, each other, our planet and this life experience with love and respect. 🤷🏽♀️😆

I don't think there is one.
It's just inconsistent with anything we have learned about the world and the universe surrounding us in such fields as biology, chemistry, physics and astronomy.
Every time you try and insert a sentient omnipotent "god" into anything, it becomes a tangle of contradictions. Simply isn't a feasible hypothesis upon a closer look, that's all.

Totally understandable. It’s a mystery. One I hope we’ll unravel… and am excited by the possibility that we could. W/science we aim to disprove hypotheses to affirm conclusions re truth. The existence of a singular intelligence responsible for the existence of our universe (or multiverse, etc.) has of yet never been proven or disproven by science. So I’m keeping my mind, and heart, open. 😉😁 But, tbh, IMHO, I don’t think it really matters. 🤷🏽♀️

Once the existence of a "god" becomes scientific fact it will lose it's mystic appeal and become just another boring concept.
That's why churches insist on the mysticism -- it's the only way to scare masses into faiths (to get them to donate tax-free sums the clergy lives off).

IMHO, a lot of that is interpretation by institutions. When we view core messages from most “prophets” they’re always about love, selflessness and self love. For example, (while literal accuracy’s understandably debatable) when asked about the biggest “rules”, Jesus answered, “love God and love others as you love yourself”. Taken in the Judeo-Christian context of “God is All”/ “God is Love” we find ourselves in the opposite of totalitarian-land.
