Morning thought:
We're so often limited in our thinking to those things which are somehow related to "ourselves"; unable to grasp any version of the world in which we are not at the center.
Yet the universe is vast beyond the grasp of our imaginations, and in it we are sub-atomic specks, not essentially different from any other speck. The idea that our personal concerns outweigh everything else is intrinsically absurd.

My dying father gave me a life lesson from his hospital bed. He said that humans are like earthworms. They live their life and carry on until some great force, like a bulldozer digs their world up, hurting, and confusing them. Like earthworms, we humans may never understand the forces that change our lives. We are certainly not at the centre.
