Does anyone else think Benoit Blanc's "Louisiana accent" is a bit too much?
@ayankdownunder I was doing something in the kitchen so had my back to the TV and I swear for a moment I thought I heard Idris Elba doing his "american drawl" thing, but I turned around it was Graig.
@Vonzales his drawl is the love child of Elba's drawl and Obama's natural voice. With a touch of Foghorn Leghorn.
@ayankdownunder
Un-Ah-Laive? UN-AH-LAIVE? Ma'am, that mayn has bin keelt, MUHDUHD to DEATH
@Vonzales 🤣 muhduhd like his accent.
@ayankdownunder The Scarn strikes again, I do DEE-CLAYA! 😂
@Vonzales The story that I'd heard was that Daniel Craig forgot how to do the accent between films. For a while, they talked about making it a thing and having Blanc use a different accent in every movie.
@TMaskedWriter That's actually a swell idea
@LnzyHou I guess it's AEXPECIALLY annoying for people from the South lol
But otherwise, what a wonderful, great, fantastic pair of movies they have given us! I'm delighted to no end.
@LnzyHou Hey, btw, would you say Brad Pitt did a really good version in Inglorious Basterds though? I thought it was very good.
"Each and ever'one of you owns me pUHsonally one hunnert Nazi scalps! An' I wawnt muh scalps!" 😆
Nope. Didn’t like that one either.
@LnzyHou Is Matthew McConaughey's real?
Absolutely not.
@Vonzales it drove me crazy but after Lucas Black in NCIS I always doubt myself. I couldn't watch that show because of his "awful fake accent" but turns out that's just his accent. 😬 For context, I'm from SC and my mom is from Alabama so I spent a good bit of my childhood visiting family there. For some reason on tv it sounds...grating.
So I was glad to be justified in thinking Benoit Blanc's accent was terrible. Great movies though.
@Bahsyla Well, he IS bri’ish innit.
It’d been strange if a character named Benoit Blanc (from south USA, hence you naturally expect him to be Cajun) asked Miles Bron for “a bo’ol o’ wo’ eh” 😂
@Vonzales yuh huh! I'd have been happier if he used his natural accent.
