Germany declares Ukraine's Holodomor famine a genocide.
Every horrific crime against humanity should be recorded and acknowledged. Think about this:
- Holodomor. Deaths: Around 3.9 million Ukrainians.
My grandparents were Holodomor survivors. We have family stories about it. It affected even me (third gen). We remember. 🕯️

My grandparents saw trains sitting at the stations, full of rotting grain, confiscated from starving Ukrainians.
My father used to say that Ukraine is so fertile that the only hunger ever possible in Ukraine is men-made. There was no widespread hunger in the history of Ukraine recorded before or after soviets.
the famous Siege of Leningrad comes to mind. They claim the city was encircled by Germans for long enough to have inhabitants switch to cannibalism to survive, yet the ammo factory never stopped working and convoys of trucks were running uninterrupted, supplying the front with bullets and bringing in food for the bosses. The Germans actually left a humanitarian passageway to allow evacuation of civilians.
@rakshy @peeppeepcircus So was I. So do I.
@Vonzales @peeppeepcircus hear you, brother 🤜 🤛
@rakshy @Vonzales oh Chernobyl was so good, they got the details so well. Also exposed the evils of that system to a wider audience in the US. Remarkable, actually. Sorry you had to go through that. Glad others were able to witness it for the first time. It would be nice to learn lessons and not repeat the disasters of the past.

The reaction it evoked from their elites was like watching vampires hiss and writhe in pain because they got sprayed with garlic water or something. Mental!
I think I heard first calls to nuke the West during one of those reaction videos 😆
@Vonzales @peeppeepcircus ahaha, didn't know that. Amazing! 😂Love it!
@peeppeepcircus @Vonzales oh, all that triggering thing is on me😅 I actually can confirm that that show is really *really* good. Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in that part of history! I salute HBO for extraordinary and important job ❤️

😒
"fun" facts about me.
It took my husband a year to convince be to watch Chernobyl by HBO. It took him ~2 months to convince me to finish the last episode.
It took me several joints of weed to go through it.
because I was triggered non-stop, I was angry, interrupting, and anxious. I fucking hate ussr to the bones. and I was born there.
