See the thing about guns is, it doesn't matter how aware you are, how much you protect yourself, no matter what you do to prevent it - you can still get shot just minding your own business.
I'm a gun owner (2 handguns safely locked up), but I know that the proliferation of guns in America is a huge part of the problem and we need to do something about that and the fact that too many people who aren't responsible gun owners treat them like toys without consequences.
