The US has a solid history of hatred interwoven within its very fabric including making laws incorporated into legislation both at the State and Federal levels. There have been incidents that the government has implemented means by which to incarcerate & deport US citizens and stripping them of their rights. Hatred for those different than you has, is, and will continue to be a stain & reminder that what happened at NY Madison Square Garden #TFG rally is nothing more than status quo...glorified
Right after the publication of The Origin of Species by Darwin there were other sciences trying to incorporate "evolution" into their disciplines & these included some of the social sciences, economics so much so that Karl Marx believed that the US would be an example of governments capable of evolving into what would be best for the working class. Yes, the US has led the way, in some ways, to make things better for the those other than the privileged...white men. But this fight will continue..
