I'm glad we have a VP pick folks. But the effusive praise and hero-worship. "His eyes! His smile! He's a hero for the people!" is getting ridiculous.
It feels like we're engaging in a practice of assigning marvelous characteristics to any bag of skin we're _told_ is ours.
That's how you get people who are utterly unconnected to you in office. By assigning qualities based on desires instead of observation.
If the cartoon of Walz is all you see, the real one doesn't have to do shit.
@AskTheDevil... Says the Archangel that tells you what you want to hear. If it's too good to be true then it probably isn't as the saying goes. Yet, the body of work, rather than talk, is more than proof that duty, responsibility, without neglecting promises can be real. Vetting a person (yes, judging a person's character) is done on a daily basis 4 many reasons & its instinctively a survival tactic & based on experience. Some of us may not have met a good politician/person but it's refreshing.
@Victor I am absolutely _not_ the angel that tells people what they want to hear. If I told people what they wanted to hear, more people would like me!
😆 🖤
@AskTheDevil Oh, they like you alright...for what you have to offer that your Father does not...
@AskTheDevil You mean to tell me we have free will or that our end is predestined no matter what it is that we do?
@Victor I find myself annoyed by predestinatory philosophies and teachings. I consider it a spiritual equivalent of a flat Earth theory.
@Victor You have free will, but so does everyone else. Your destinies are partly yours to choose, but everyone else's choices count also.
