@VelvetDuchess Wondering if this is directed at Cuban #FloridaMan? There's an inordinate number of Cubans that vote Republican.
They wrongly conflate Democrats with Socialism, and Socialism with Castro. They can’t understand that Castro’s Cuba wasn’t Socialism, it was a Dictatorship.
@Smccune55 @VelvetDuchess The first Cubans to flee after Castro took over were the rich, elite, educated upperclass which tended to lean conservative. Guess where they ended up? Florida. Those that are currently emmigrating are the poor that at times risk their lives crossing the ocean on a barely floating boat. Why the Bay of Pigs? Rich wanted their properties back..and they wanted US help to do so...and they still do.
