@Victor We lived 50 miles, across Cook Inlet, in Soldotna, from Mount Redoubt. It blew in 2009, the ash missed us but we did have a "volcano box" in the garage, just in case.
Volcano box had water, roll of plastic, duck tape, crank radio, filters for the cars, masks...
