Never in my entire work history have I ever had to solve a math problem., either to obtain employment or during employment. LOL.

Agreed that these are usually order of operation problems. This one also throws in division by a fraction, which throws some folks off. I agree with @Rowdy that math shows up in a huge number of places. And in the real world we're faced with the dreaded "story problems" so the math questions are rarely neatly laid out for us.
I haven't actually tried to check this yet (cross my heart).
9 - (3 divided by 1/3) + 1.
3 divided by 1/3 = 9.
so then it's 9-9+1=1

@Urbankidx4 @Kittiekatt53 @Rowdy

Yep.
It is just that I think in RPN. The very first thing I do in arithmetic problems, is convert it into RPN.

btw.
I don’t call these math problems. They are arithmetic problems.

The difference is important.

Ya, I’m weird.

I used to do that. I inherited an HP calculator when I was in middle school. It used RPN and I got really good at it for a while. Been forever now though.
