I've lost track of the thread that may have helped me on this....So even after J's recent browser refresh reminder π I'm going to swallow my pride and ask the CoSoverse: I can't get media to play through On-Demand. Win 10 (all updates applied). Tried Chrome (my default), Firefox, IE and even Edge which I'm using now. All attempts to play a movie return an error. (Image) I've tried half a dozen titles. Not a new issue for me but I've put off asking about it to see if I could figure it out.
@Urbankidx4 On Chrome, have you tried installing the CORS extension?

@JGNWYRK Thanks for the idea. I did not have it. Installed it. Cleared all my cache and such. While I was at it I also disabled McAfee and Click-N-Clean extensions. No change.
@Urbankidx4 once the extension is loaded click on it and make sure that the countersocial address is in the whitelist.
@Urbankidx4
There's a codec pack some of us downloaded which sorted it out.
Hang on and I'll try to find it.
@stueytheround Thanks. That might be the thread I thought I saw.
@Urbankidx4
This is the one.
Worked a treat for me.
@stueytheround Better but no home run. At least now I can get the movie header in the background (image). but that's it. There was one update from the version the link had, and I put that update on as well. Do you remember if there were any tweaks that needed, well, tweaked? π
@Urbankidx4 Not for me but @amarand introduced me to the pack so he might be able to give some assistance.
@Urbankidx4 I get this same error code, and being nontech compatible, I just gave up π€£π€£π€£
Iβm on an iPad and can watch movies on my device via Amazon prime with no problem.
If you get an answer, please share it with me and Iβll give it a whirl. π
@Knitpurrl I sure will.
@Urbankidx4 I just read through you thread on this issue... too complicated for me, hope it works out for you π€£ππ€£
Well....now it's more interesting. I don't know if either the codec or the CORS changes affected the scenario. In a random sampling, I found several titles that *will* play; #288 (300), #193(Catch Me if you can), and #194 (Blackfish). 15 other random titles will not start. Including, but not limited to Tomb Raider, 12 Angry men, and 2Guns. There must be a pattern now but I can't see it. I don't think I have a way to interrogate the properties of each to try and compare them.
