@ToolPackinMama Feels like the opening shots in a civil war. Because, you just know that Trump will deploy the military to enforce his decrees.

@TwiHusband @ToolPackinMama

As of yesterday, Gov. Healey was still saying she wouldn't involve the state police.

Still. Looks like Civil War 2.0 is going to also be fought over "states rights."

@Tarnagh @ToolPackinMama The first Civil War was ostensibly fought over states rights too....even though everyone with two brain cells to rub together knows it was fought over slavery.

I keep remembering Shelby Foote lecturing in Ken Burns "Civil War", about how the Civil War turn the United States from and "are" to an "is". It made us one nation, instead of a collection of states. And the South wants that clock turned back.

@TwiHusband @ToolPackinMama

Yep. "States rights" to own slaves.

2.0 looks like it'll be a little different when/if the time comes.

@ToolPackinMama I’m beginning to suspect a civil war might be in our future.

@ToolPackinMama

This could provide Trump justification to deploy the military inside the US.

@KGinKS Trump is a typical bully, in that he doesn't need a good reason. He will lie if people want a reason.
