The US says the drone attacks on the Kremlin were false flag. Might be but I question that. Russia issued a statement saying that their electronic defences stopped both from getting to the Kremin, yet video shows that both made it. If false flag, wouldnt they have destroyed the drones beforehand to show how good their defences work? Second, Moscow just banned drones from being launched in Moscow. If it was theirs, there would be no need to do so.

Besides clumsy self destruction, The other thing it could be: A message sent by "The Resistance" of thier own people that state controlled media are not allowed to talk about.

Your line of questioning, to me, is flawed in that it is asked with the idea that 'Moscow' is a single entity working towards the same goals.
IMO, it is all hype by Russia - even what looks like it shouldn't have worked that way & they should have done it differently to be able to brag.
Ukrainian defense ministry prior to the drone episode spoke about expecting Russia to pull a stunt to give them an excuse to pull out of the war Putin started.
