#introduction I am new on here, just started tonight. Heard a lot of good things about the site. I am an engineer, and a researcher, with a deep interest in politics and world affairs. I live in Alberta, Canada.
I will be looking around to get used to the place, and am interested in connecting with folk who know me on other sites as well as meeting new friends.
@TomjSmith2 i'm getting out of alberta but i wish you luck!
hello & welcome.
take your time. you'll get used to the way things work as you play w/ it. press ALLL the buttons. you won't break anything ๐
if the site is overwhelming at 1st glance:
click on your handle > edit profile > preferences > ostrich mode > save changes.
check out the user guide - it's linked in the 3rd pinned post on my profile.
if you get stuck, #cosonauts
are a helpful bunch, too.
happy to have you here. ๐
@singlemaltgirl @singlemaltgirl Thanks for the guidance and for the warm welcome!! ๐ I will have a gander at that user guide.
I am not sure how much longer we will be able to stay in Alberta either if things keep going downhill, but time will tell.
@TomjSmith2 i've been here for over a decade. gave it my best shot. the politics are killing my soul.
i'm re-locating to bc. i didn't think we could top kenney. then we got smith. i'm done.
i'm so sorry for all those who don't have the options i have & are not backwards thinking wexiters.
@singlemaltgirl I have been here 28 years. Because of Kenney we just lost our family doctor this summer. I just cannot believe that Smith actually got in. I am wondering what things will be like by the next election in May.
@singlemaltgirl We have had the same discussions in my family. I cannot think of a single demographic that the UCP has not hurt.
Anyway, I am happy to have met you, and I wish you all the best in your new home in BC.
Have a good night - I am heading off to get some sleep!
@TomjSmith2 night! & glad you've made it to #coso. hope you enjoy it here.
