I'm kind of pissed that the console wars are still a thing and I can't play Helldivers II because I have an Xbox.

@ThrasherPrime it is on pc if yours can handle it. (but it has kernel level anticheat so thats a pass from me 🤷‍♂️ )

I do agree that xbox peeps should be able to play though.

@MgBarbatos I have a gaming laptop from about 2 yrs ago. It has a 3050ti in it and can play most games. It needs more RAM. But I'm not very proficient with k&m.

@ThrasherPrime most new games for pc will accept a controller if you plug it in. Steam does a good job at letting you use the type of your controller you're comfortable with (even to the point of just mapping the buttons yourself if you need to).

As for the Ram I can understand that. Some laptops can cheap out on it. (unless you mean storage and you just need more memory to download games.) 😅

@MgBarbatos It came with only 8GB and should just upgrade it to 16GB. I really thought about doing the controller for Helldivers 2. I'm also spoiled playing on the couch. What I need is a dedicated space for PC gaming that I just don't have right now.

@MgBarbatos I also only have an i5 processor which hamstrings me. Helldivers 2 minimums that concern me are the i7 processor and 8GB of RAM all the other specs are fine for me.

This is exactly why I left PC gaming when consoles started to be more accessible to me. (I could afford them)

@ThrasherPrime ^ yep thats generally my outlook too. I do appreciate and enjoy using pc and its versatility, but I love that consoles are usually more $ friendly and when games are made for them, they “just work”. If only just bcuz the stats for consoles are predetermined and usually uniformed rather than to account for different gpu’s, cpu’s, ram, Os’s etc.
