Ever come across people that you know to share most of your same ideas but then they go really far to the left? Like the polar opposite of the Maga crowd? It's interesting because some of them suffer from the same delusions just on the other side of the spectrum. They also can be all or nothing when it comes to an opinion of something.
Case Study thread
@ThrasherPrime My only jab at this thing is wondering why people expect pumpkin in there. "Pumpkin spice" is a spice blend.
"Canadian steak" contains neither Canadians nor steak, but people get the blend idea there and don't complain.
(Yeah it's not as common, but it is funnier)
@sheseala That is hilarious actually. And guess my point is less about the Starbucks take but what about her makes it invalid. Or what about the information is untrue. It's not hard to find the ingredients list, I suppose.
@ThrasherPrime It's been a *long time* since I ran into any of her stuff. My memory is she'd double down when people showed he was wrong about a particular food study.
It's also the fearmongering. Things have risk but it doesn't mean it's poison and I remember her describing nearly everything like it was poison.
I had classes about toxicity and her stuff to me at the time was like a doc watching an episode of House.
