Ever come across people that you know to share most of your same ideas but then they go really far to the left? Like the polar opposite of the Maga crowd? It's interesting because some of them suffer from the same delusions just on the other side of the spectrum. They also can be all or nothing when it comes to an opinion of something.
Case Study thread
@ThrasherPrime The toxic dose of sugar bit is the weirdest "yes, but no" thing for me. I'll try to sum up.
The bad things from sugar are all from normal operation of the body and not destruction of tissue caused by it. So like, it's bad, but not toxic in how I use the term toxic.
There's max dosage which is a definition in the term toxicity, but unless diabetic, it's not going to kill you. If you're having it daily, it might. Eventually.
@sheseala That's good info and I appreciate that.
I drink 3 things regularly. Mushroom coffee with golden milk, water and beer. Not just any beer, either beer I made or a local microbrewery.
@ThrasherPrime It's been a *long time* since I ran into any of her stuff. My memory is she'd double down when people showed he was wrong about a particular food study.
It's also the fearmongering. Things have risk but it doesn't mean it's poison and I remember her describing nearly everything like it was poison.
I had classes about toxicity and her stuff to me at the time was like a doc watching an episode of House.
