My Chicago fig tree still has unripened figs on it, but the lows for the next three nights will dip well below freezing, and I’m worried we’ll lose them all. Therefore, we got our little greenhouse tent from Aldi and covered it. Really hoping it works! We’ve got 30 or so figs on our little tree.

@TheRealDelia did you mulch deeply around the roots?

@Jezibaba I plan to do that, but it’s not done yet. But the ground is still warm here right now, and the leaves are still on the tree. Once they fall, we plan to wrap the tree and mulch all around to protect it from the worst cold.
