The Fall of a Nation
Once, the land was crowned in gold,
A beacon of hope, a dream retold.
Its banners flew in the morning light,
Promising justice, strength, and right.
But empires crumble, as all things do,
Built on foundations too frail, untrue.
The mortar of greed, the bricks of pride,
Collapse in silence where truth has died.

@TheNewsOwl fact is this is the truth at the moment...I know all things right themselves eventually but the eve of destruction is a song that was used in the past and accurately describes today...the damage will be far more significant now however. My time here is almost done but I worry about my children and grandchildren I guess
