Halloween Story Time

On Halloween night, a little girl named Emily found an old porcelain doll on her front porch. Its pale face was cracked, and its glass eyes stared, unblinking, into hers. She’d never seen the doll before, but something compelled her to bring it inside.

As midnight approached, Emily began hearing faint whispers echoing from the doll, soft words she couldn’t quite understand. The doll’s head turned slightly, and she could swear its eyes followed her every move. She tried to put it away, but its glassy gaze drew her back.

Around three in the morning, Emily woke to find the doll sitting on her bed, closer than before. Its cracked mouth was slightly open, and tiny words spilled outβ€”a sinister, whispered chant.

Terrified, she grabbed the doll and threw it into the closet, slamming the door shut. She could still hear the muffled whispering from inside. She covered her ears, but it grew louder, a voice like dry leaves brushing together.

Then, silence.

She peeked through the closet door, and there it was, staring at her with those hollow eyes. One final whisper escaped its lips:

"You let me in."

Emily screamed, but it was too late. The doll’s tiny hand reached out, its porcelain fingers wrapping around hers as everything went dark.

By morning, all that was left was the doll, now sitting in Emily's place, with a faint smile on its cracked face.
