Spooky #History On this day of October 31st.
On October 31, 1926, the world-famous magician and escape artist Harry Houdini died under mysterious circumstances. Known for his death-defying stunts and elaborate illusions, Houdini had always insisted he could survive any challenge—except, perhaps, the one that fate had in store.
Just days before his death, Houdini was in Montreal, where he boasted to a group of university students that he could withstand any blow to his abdomen. One student, skeptical of his claim, struck Houdini with unexpected force several times. It’s believed this blow might have ruptured Houdini’s appendix, though he initially shrugged off the pain.
Houdini continued his tour, but by October 24, he was writhing in agony, ultimately being diagnosed with peritonitis—a fatal infection of the abdominal lining caused by his burst appendix. Despite his condition, he performed one last show in Detroit on October 24, before finally succumbing to his injuries on Halloween.
Many who’ve investigated Houdini’s life and death believe his spirit remains restless. To this day, ghost hunters report strange happenings at his old homes and haunts, and some claim that Houdini's restless spirit still lurks, bound by his own unbreakable chains between life and death.

This jogged a memory of a movie I remember watching about him with my grandma when I was little. I think Tony Curtis played him.
Happy Halloween
