It's almost as if we recognized that we were all overdressed in out best defences, hypervigilant for expected slights and shoulders squared to bounce off snarky remarks, When that didn't happen, we all changed in to our shorts and sandles, grabbed a six pack to drink on the beach together.. People just being decent people again, disgarding all the trappings of the bird world.

@TessNam It's such a different environment, although I didn't "tweet" per se, but used Twitter to follow journalists, writers, scientists etc. Reading replies on any platform (FB is perhaps the best example of hate and rage) is stressful .When people who join are out of line, or trolling, other users avoid confrontations and usually just mute or block, depending on the severity of the not so nice behavior. The community as a whole strives for the polite, educated conversation or playful banter.
