I've been 'pinned' - it must be serious. I gather (and I've seen this before) - his 52+ hour screeching session was designed to get me to engage. And he got himself all frothed up and wilder and wilder the longer I ignored him. Looks like his sugar crash has started.

There's been online insanity since USENET days. It's just now, there are platforms that are effectively dedicated to promoting it with their "engagement" algorithms.

@mcfate I want to laugh at that, and a younger me certainly would have contributed to it, but it's.. bothersome. It's easy enough for trolls to coordinate to ruin things like that, like when .. I think it was either Mountain Dew or Doritos had a naming poll and "Hitler Did Nothing Wrong" ended up being the winning post.

@mcfate They really should. Or at least aptitude tests to use social media, etc. Alas, people treat it as a right, not a privilege.

@mcfate Think I remember seeing that, people don't understand what Free Speech means. It certainly doesn't mean you get to be an asshole and not have any repercussions for it. Nobody is owed a soap box.
