@phase What else can you do it the guys grabbing titties. There clearly wasn't a Marshall on the flight and it's not like they've got a brig to throw em in.

I see it more as a few hard-earned days off

I would be interested to see the outcome of the investigation during the suspension, with visual evidence of a violent individual... I could see a legal case against the airline had this happened to other individuals on the airline.

Note: This is why it is a gate agents responsibility not to allow a drunk individual on the aircraft. There are good drunks and bad drunks, 20,000 feet in the air isn't a time to find out which one you are.

@White_Rabbit @phase I can see Mr "My Dad is worth 2mil" filing a case but I doubt he would win.

The airline is worth much much more than either of them. Sometimes people just absolutely need to be strapped down.

@Tail @phase

What I meant is if he struck a passenger instead of the flight attendant and they didn't try to stop it... they are liable/at fault as the carrier. Not a lawyer, but that just makes sense -- they are the ultimate authority while in transit...

@White_Rabbit Ah I see your point. There's lots of important context missing, but it seems to me like a solid case for self-defense. Indeed curious to see how it pans out but I think it'll be okay. Hopefully.
