@Museek I had a bike accident a couple years ago, landed on my left shoulder, had to have the whole thing put back together. I know the pain and the struggle.
All the specialists have told me shoulder surgeries are the worst, worse than hips even.
@Tail ouch... sorry... the biggest pain is the insurance company not wanting to pay for things the doctor recommends. Things we think are justified. They’ve been dragging this out. I just want a fully functioning arm again.
@Museek I guess that's one thing I got going for me is being super poor and on Medicaid. When I went in to a specialist to get it checked out I ended up dating his MA so I kinda got super special treatment and paid maybe $12 all told. I'm thankful to never have had to deal with that but I've heard horror stories.
@stueytheround @Museek going in for some neuropathy creeping up my legs, I'm half hoping they find an orthopedic cause for it.
@Tail @stueytheround ohhh
Have you tried water therapy? I swear, it helped me. I had nerve issues that were severe for a few years. Had PT, laser treatments and alternate hot and cold water therapy. Buzzing tailbone went away! Yes... I had a buzzing tailbone, as strange as that sounds... just like a cell phone on silent. Lol
@Museek oh wow you had a whole host of things. I've never done water therapy though I've always wanted to. I got to spend an hour in a sensory deprivation tank, LOVED IT
@Tail yes.. childbirth injury .. had to use a wheelchair and walker for about 3.5 years... that was humbling. They tried to give me a steroid shot in the spine and that didn’t work so opted for less invasive procedures and stopped taking gabapentin. Really glad I did. I’ve been doing the same water treatment therapy ever since.. except during covid. The heat opens up blood vessels surrounding the nerves and the cold constructs them.. in my case, it helped. I can walk again. So I’m grateful.
@Museek Ohh my you poor thing. I'm glad you're getting better, I can't imagine being restricted to a wheelchair, but I know what it's like to only have one arm. 😫
@stueytheround @Tail😂 yesssssssss
@Museek
Hmm now I will think of you as bumble butt 🐝
Jk.
@Tail @stueytheround
Ultrasound therapy has provided muscle relief when nothing else worked for me? Only a few chiropractors offer. Was very skeptical but amazed at outcome.
Neck shoulder injuries from rowing.
@damselfly59 @Museek @stueytheround ohh I did have electroshock therapy on my neck, back and shoulders after a car accident. Omg it felt so good
@damselfly59 @Tail @stueytheround
😂
🐝 bzzzzz bzzzzz
It was the strangest sensation😂
Oh..that’s cool...glad you found something that worked. Yeah, sometimes we tweak things in our bodies. it can take a long time to figure out how to untweak them. We are Lucky when we find something that works! Rowing must have been great... I used to be a swimmer. often, in the early mornings, after my swim, I’d pop over to watch the Stanford Rowing team do their thing. It was surreal in early morning fog
@Museek @Tail @stueytheround
Should clarify, oaring whitewater.
@damselfly59 @Museek @stueytheround oh rowing whitewater is another game entirely
@Tail @Museek @stueytheround
So my masseuse told me over a year of work.
Straining muscle hitting rocks=cement.
Cure was as rough as the damage. Love hate relationship.
@damselfly59 @Museek @stueytheround Ooof, yeah. I was a glazier for a few years, it took its toll on my body big time. I'm all janky crooked and sore these days.
@Tail
Deep tissue massage. Hurts like heck for a dat but mobility returns. Drink water before and after. Saved me from carpal tunnal surgery too.
@damselfly59 @Tail @stueytheround fun!... whitewater rafting is a favorite of our family. That must be great!
@Tail I have a tear in my elbow and rotator cuff from a work injury. It’s gotten much better through therapy but there are still things I can’t do.. laundry is one of them. Can’t do heavy lifting or extend my arm behind my back, yet.
