You may be a Little Light but you shine brighter than any star
And I'll use your light to guide me to where I need to be.
@JeSsA I've never loved anything, not a person place or thing as much as I loved Juju. I treated him like a son and loved him just the same. He wasn't even MY dog, but he would've been under different circumstances.
He was found on the street, still had his puppy collar on and he grew into it, it collapsed his trachea a bit so he had problems. But he was still the smartest, happiest dog I've ever met. He's an impossibly tough act to follow. </3
@Tail I understand completely. He was your heart dog. This is Orion. He was mine. My dog of a lifetime. My first show dog, the smartest dog I’ve ever known, he got his canine good citizen and therapy dog certifications (trained by me) as soon as he was eligible, at 6 months (6mo 1 day for his CGC.) potty trained in 3 days. Impeccable dog. I lost him in 2018 at 14. No dog will ever, ever measure up to him. I don’t love them any less, but he was my heart dog. I miss him Every. Single. Day. ❤️
@JeSsA Heart dog, I've never heard that before. I'm loving it and keeping it. Juju was only about 9 and he had a heart attack July 9th of last year out of nowhere.
I think about that every day and it hurts, but it would hurt more if I never thought about it at all.
@JeSsA I can't stress enough just how .. He was a special dog. A special special dog. A Balto. He was the best friend I've ever had and he was ALWAYS happy. He would just trot right up to people, so sociable. So.. Just very human for a dog. And I understood him on a crazy deep level. I don't have the words for it.
@Tail yep… your heart dog. You were connected by the heart, on a level words defy, but your heart screams. I understand more than you know..& I know that loss as well, and it hurts, but the pain is worth it, to have a love like that, that not everyone gets to experience.
@JeSsA Yeah.. It is. I think the world would be a much better place if everyone had a heart dog. Or heart something.
Or just a heart.
@Tail preachhhh
@Tail these are the other half of my heart. My spiky loves. Oliver “Ollie” and Pipsqueak “Pip”/“Squeak”
@JeSsA They're adorable! I like the less common pets. I had rats for a long time and they make for especially good companions.
@Tail Same with Beardies! They’re like spiky dogs. For real. They bond, cuddle, demand your attention, smart, trainable. Oh, and hysterical. I am taking on a third, named Brownie. He will be here, depending on when my bro’s girlfriend can coordinate the transport, sometime after the 19th. Was going to be a couple weeks ago, but life happened. He needs a home, I can give him one, so I am happy to do it. All deserve love. 💜
@JeSsA The world could use more people like you.🙏
@Tail I don’t know if I’d go that far, but thank you! I just love animals, and if I can do something to ensure one has the best life possible, I will do all I can to make that happen. There’s a kindness in animals that can’t be matched.
@JeSsA I think that kindness paid in any direction from an earnest heart spreads farther than we think it does. Choosing to be a voice for the voiceless is a heartful endeavor if ever there was one.🙏
@Tail Awww, thank you for that. Honestly, I needed a boost and your kindness is appreciated.
On the dragon front, just to show how cute they can be, this was Ollie last week. The end the way he grabs my finger, staying asleep, comforted, kills me. They don’t have the cute furry faces of dogs and cats etc, but they are so loving in their own special way(they also do not like being on their backs typically, so the trust he has to do this, is a very special thing)
@JeSsA All deserve love. And all deserve room to grow and a safe place to lay their head at night.
@Tail I could not agree more!
@Tail omggg 😭 you can just SEE the happy in his gait in that picture.
