You'll never know a love as pure as the love of a dog that's been rescued from a terrible fate on the streets. You just won't.
@evistre Gorgeous!
@Tail as is your pup! What's their name? :)
@evistre that's my baby boy Juju. My strong little man.. He passed away unexpectedly July 9th or last year.
He took my heart with him.
@Tail aw π
At least he had a great home with you π
@evistre I gave him everything I could, and he appreciated every ounce of it. He taught me more than any dog has and I'll carry that with me forever.
@Tail too sweet! Sounds like you two were well matched :)
@evistre I couldn't have prayed for a better boy. I loved him like a son and he knew it. He loved me right back.
I try to be the person that he thought I was.
@Tail that's the way to go, for sure. Do him proud. πππ
My only family member tbh. But, just gotta keep on walking. The hurt comes from a place of love, but that's one of those wounds that never fully heals.
I don't have the heart, or means for another dog or pet. I'll be volunteering at the animal shelter soon, hopefully.
@XSGeek They fill important family roles. And they eagerly want to. There are so many dogs that need rescuing, puppy farms are so terrible.π
It's a hard move to make, that whole feeling like you're replacing them. Like remarrying after losing a spouse. I'm glad you made the choice.
@evistre standard issue π
Adorable.
@Tail I believe it!
I'm a cat people, but I love doggies. My sister has an incredibly nervous rescue. Might have some pictures of her on here but NOT under that tag. Lol
