@Synical@Keysalagain Looks like sheet metal, so it might be possible to MIG it... although you'd have to put another piece of sheet atop the gap, so it'd probably wind up looking pretty gnarly - and that's not even considering the nightmare that would be repainting the area after it's been wire wheeled (to remove the paint) and welded.
