Spent last night watching a KISS documentary and it reminded me a) How much I like Paul Stanley, and b) That the best writing advice often comes from songwriters:
“In pursuing people who don’t like you, you forsake the people who are with you and the other people could care less, so you lose everything.” - Paul Stanley
In other words, write for the readers who love you back, and stop trying to impress the ones for whom you’ll never be enough.
