I play a lot of old games. Why? Because 99% of them are eminently moddable, with many mods, mappacks, etc. in existence, and more created all the time. Case in point: DooM II, a 30 year old game, with literally tens of thousands of mods and mappacks available. One of my favourite weapons to use, though, is a "stock" weapon called the chainsaw. It lets me gather ammunition when I need it, and takes care of baddies who don't drop any when they die, saving me ammo.

@XaoslordErie I play older games because they're great, but your reason is good too :)
