IMHO none of the Dune movies/tv series really capture the books perfectly. The books are REALLY long, and an interesting look into scifi for when they were written. Just like what you wanna like about any of the versions.
@Absinthe Any adaptation to a different medium will be some form of incomplete. What matters is how true to the spirit of the original the adaptation stays. In terms of #DUNE I'd love to see a fremen perspective focused around the ecology angle. The latest DUNE: Spice Wars game is pretty cool as well ;)

How in depth/scientific would you want it to be, in a movie? Too much, and it'd end up being blasted as a Documentary. :(

As for the Fremen show, smth focused on the day-to-day life of deep desert fremen, pre Atreides takeover would be interesting. Dodging Harkonnen patrols, backstabbing smugglers, there's potential for action and adventure as well :)
