@Stace Not only were we united, but it was beautiful — and such a comfort, albeit incredibly sad — the way the people of so many nations around the world were holding vigils and standing beside us and grieving along with us. At first, we all, including our government, said we were NOT going to let 9/11 destroy us, but I told my husband, "You watch, we'll totally let this destroy us." Within days, our leaders and many citizens began allowing fear and hate to take over, and here we are. 😥
